Berry Global is showcasing new developments for the beverage industry at this year's BrauBeviale, including a closure for refillable glass bottles and a reusable cup for cold and hot drinks.

In addition to a variety of closure solutions for water, juices, soft drinks and dairy products, the company presents products designed to help brands achieve their sustainability goals. The new recyclable closures from Berry are designed to help reduce plastic waste and promote the recycling of closures. The for cold filling and aseptic applications, including still water and functional beverages, The product range, which is designed to be recyclable, has a special tamper-evident band that keeps the cap on the bottle after opening. This significantly reduces the likelihood of littering and promotes recycling in countries with an appropriate recycling infrastructure. At the same time, the flip-top hinge locks the lid in place to ensure a pleasant drinking experience for the consumer. After use, the lid can be easily closed again.

The tethered caps comply with the current legislation on single-use plastic, including the EU requirement that plastic drinks bottles up to three litres in size must be fitted with closures that are during the entire period of use remain attached to the container.
