For filling sensitive beverages in a hygienic environment, the system manufacturer offers a comprehensive portfolio of gentle systems for various container shapes and materials. With the InnoPET BloFill ACF-L stretch blow-moulding and filling block KHS a particularly Space-saving further development for sensitive beverages in PET bottles before. A new switching valve controls the volume of the feed flow to the actual filling valve and thus enables four different filling speeds.

Both large and small bottle volumes with different viscosities can be processed with low foaming. The filling process is stored in the product recipes, eliminating the need for manual changeovers. This makes filling quality reproducible and improves filling accuracy. This ensures stable performance with widely varying beverage characteristics.

Environmentally friendly packaging solutions

In addition to modern filling technology and digital solutions, KHS will be showcasing its portfolio of pioneering packaging solutions in Cologne. „We are consistently working on saving material and using fewer new resources and more recycled content instead,“ says Grobe. The expertise gained over decades continues in the area of secondary packaging. Thus The processing of film made from up to 100 per cent recycled material is just as possible as the use of paper or cardboard.

The new development Innopack CNP (Carton Nature Packer) combines beverage cans into rigid packs with the aid of cardboard attachments. With a capacity of up to 108,000 containers per hour are available in 4, 6 or 8-pack variants in standard and sleek formats in volumes of 250 to 580 millilitres.

Another packaging alternative is the Nature MultiPack. This resource-saving solution combines drinks containers into a sturdy pack using adhesive dots and saves up to 90 per cent of material by dispensing with outer packaging. The Nature MultiPack is now also available for the high-performance range. Up to 108,000 containers can be processed per hour at over-capacity. Depending on the format, the system produces up to 450 four-packs per minute.

Conversion possible without any problems

KHS also offers extensions for existing Innopack machines. The new alternative, for example, in which beverage cans are wrapped in paper instead of film, can be retrofitted accordingly. Customers can opt for more flexibility by selecting film or paper packaging - or switch to paper altogether.
