In the logistics and inventory management landscape, real-time data is essential for making processes efficient. TSC Auto ID has developed new solutions that make this possible with the introduction of the S10 RFID mobile computer and the FR901 fixed RFID reader. Both devices offer advanced technology for capturing real-time data, which can be read precisely and reliably over long distances.

The TSC Auto ID S10 RFID Mobile Computer is equipped with an integrated Bluebird UHF RFID reader, specifically designed for demanding environments such as logistics and asset tracking. Featuring a powerful E710 RFID chip, the device can read over 1300 RFID tags per second from distances exceeding 13 metres. This allows for efficient data capture and real-time visibility, which are crucial for optimised inventory management. Additionally, it includes features like a 1D and 2D barcode reader, capable of replacing existing processes with a versatile single-scan solution.

The S10 RFID features a Qualcomm octa-core processor that runs at up to 2.4 GHz and has a 5.5-inch HD display. The 7,000 mAh battery with fast charging and the hot-swapping capability ensure the device remains operational on the go. These features, combined with a robust and ergonomic design, make the S10 RFID a valuable addition for businesses seeking flexible and efficient RFID solutions.

Stationary RFID solutions for comprehensive coverage

The TSC Auto ID FR901 stationary RFID reader offers a high receiving sensitivity of -103 dBm, which reduces signal interference and eliminates data blind spots. With a transmission power of 33 dBm, the reading range can be precisely configured, facilitating the setup of efficient IoT infrastructure in areas such as warehousing and manufacturing. The modular design with eight separate RFID antenna connections allows large operating environments to be covered with a single device.

The FR901 can be operated with Linux or optionally with Android, allowing for flexible integration into existing WMS systems and IT platforms. The inclusion of Power over Ethernet (PoE) Plus reduces wiring complexity, as both data and power are transmitted via a single network cable. These features make the FR901 a cost-effective solution for companies looking to expand their automation strategies.

The future of RFID technology

Kim Jinoh, CEO of Bluebird, highlights the importance of the new RFID solutions: „The outstanding sensitivity and comprehensive connectivity of the FR901 enable businesses to transition from reactive tracking to proactive, data-driven automation.“ This underlines the role of RFID technology as a key component in modern automation and logistics processes.

With these new developments, TSC Auto ID offers companies the opportunity to optimise their operations through advanced RFID solutions and prepare themselves for the demands of an increasingly digitalised world.
