Syntegon Technology supports producers in the efficient manufacture of primary and secondary packaging for confectionery with a comprehensive range of products. In addition to sustainable paper packaging, packaging formats made from mono-materials and the company's line expertise for jelly production will also be presented at ProSweets in Cologne.
A vertical SVE 3220 flow-wrapping machine, which processes bend- and tear-resistant stand-up pouches made of paper, provides secondary packaging for chocolate bars. „These are an environmentally friendly alternative to secondary packaging made of plastic and a real eye-catcher,“ explains Oliver Maier, sales representative at Syntegon. The machine can be adapted to different packaging materials and styles, demonstrating its great flexibility. It can also fill bags made from recyclable mono-material film at a speed of up to 60 paper or 80 plastic bags per minute.
Barrier paper without creases or tears
The so-called paper-on-form retrofit kit will also be part of the package. With this solution, even sensitive and greasy products such as chocolate and chocolate bars can be packaged in FSC- and PEFC-certified special paper containing more than 90 per cent natural fibres. The retrofit kit includes a moulding shoulder and sealing jaws for cold sealing applications: This allows barrier papers to be processed without creases or tears, while the precisely fitting cold sealing tools gently produce the sealing seams.
The company will also be providing insights into the Makat portfolio, which has been expanded to include kitchen technology: from mass production, moulding and post-treatment of rubber and jelly products to efficient packaging.
