For over four decades, the Krefeld-based company Baumer hhs has established itself as a pioneer in the field of industrial adhesive application. On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the company reflects on its development and the challenges it has overcome.
Baumer hhs was formed through the merger of two companies: System Kurandt and hhs GmbH. Both companies specialised in solutions for adhesive application and were acquired by the Baumer Group in 1998 and 2001 respectively. This merger enabled Baumer hhs to strengthen its innovative capabilities and leverage the infrastructure of a strong corporate group. Today, the company has an international presence with production sites in Krefeld and Berlin.

With branches in countries such as France, Great Britain, India, China, and the USA, as well as a sales network in over 120 countries, Baumer hhs has established itself as a global market leader. The company is particularly regarded as an innovation leader in the folding carton and tobacco industries. The company is a founding member of the 4evergreen alliance, which works to improve the recyclability of packaging. Additionally, Baumer hhs is participating in the Sugra project, which develops bio-based adhesives.

With an export share of 75 percent of its products, Baumer hhs has a strong international focus. The company pursues a holistic approach in the development of its solutions to ensure efficiency and process reliability. Managing Director Percy Dengler emphasises that close cooperation with customers and adaptation to their needs form the basis for the company's future positive development.
