Palm completes acquisition

With this acquisition, Palm is expanding its geographical presence in France, Spain and Portugal.

The Palm Group, a leading European manufacturer of paper and corrugated board packaging, has successfully completed the acquisition of five corrugated board plants from the US company International Paper (IP).

The purchase was completed on 30 June 2025 after receiving the necessary approvals from the European Commission and the French antitrust authorities.

With of this acquisition Palm is strengthening its position in the European corrugated cardboard market and expanding its geographical presence in France, Spain and Portugal. The acquired sites will be run under new names in future:

  • Palm Packaging Cabourg SAS (North-West of France/Normandy)
  • Palm Packaging Mortagne SAS (North-West of France/Normandy)
  • Palm Packaging Saint-Amand SAS (North-West of France/Normandy)
  • Palm Packaging Bilbao S.L.U. (North-West of Spain/Basque Country)
  • Palm Packaging Ovar S.A. (North of Portugal near Porto)
