Hugo Beck, manufacturer of flowpack, film packaging and print finishing machines, will be presenting its wide-ranging portfolio of machines and applications at interpack 2017. One of the company's trade fair highlights is its latest robot-supported automation solution for the horizontal film packaging sector.
The machine manufacturer thus serves an enormous Automation potential for flow-wrapping and shrink-wrapping. Visitors can also see for themselves the high quality that the flowpack systems offer in terms of tightness and reproducibility.
Automation options
The company can look back on decades of development tradition when it comes to automation. Handling systems such as gantries, grouping solutions, stacking and counting systems, pushers, etc. - the list of automation options is long and has significantly advanced technological development in various industries. The range was recently expanded to include Parallel robot which make handling a wide variety of products, for example by grouping, stacking and repositioning, easier than ever. Customers from a wide range of industries are thus offered absolute flexibility in their choice of technology, depending on their requirements, and a Complete solution from a single source offered.
„With our expertise, we support the entire automation process from project planning and production through to integration into complex packaging lines. This applies in particular to robot technology for automated product feeding,“ says Sales Manager Timo Kollmann.
It is suitable for companies in the pharmaceutical, medical technology, food, confectionery, cosmetics, technology, printing and paper sectors, among others.
Automation in food production
An automation solution for the food sector will be shown as an example. Visitors to the trade fair can look forward to a complex film packaging as the end result for a Convenience product be curious. The Film packaging machine consists of the servo X side-sealing machine and a high-speed parallel robot. The servo X achieves a maximum output of 15,000 cycles/hour and processes film packaging from a length of 80 mm, a width of 10 to 450 mm and a height of up to 300 mm. The side sealing technology from Hugo Beck also achieves film savings of up to 15 per cent. The parallel robot is controlled via the packaging machine. With a load capacity of up to eight kilograms, it localises, sorts and dispenses a wide variety of 3D products and packaging in large or small quantities. The solution can therefore be used for a wide range of different and customised applications.
