The Minden-based Follmann-Chemie Group has acquired the British adhesives manufacturer Sealock Ltd. The takeover agreement was signed at the end of April.
Sealock was founded in 1983 by John Young. The company produces and distributes Hot melt adhesives and Water-based adhesives for the packaging sector, including for example PSA hotmelts.
The Sealock portfolio complements the Follmann range perfectly, Follmann shareholder Dr Henrik Follmann is quoted as saying in a company press release. „We see considerable potential for the German market in particular through the distribution of the products, as Sealock has not yet been active in this country,“ he adds.
The new Sealock management team following the takeover will also include Chris Young, the son of the company founder. The management board will be complemented by Finance Director Rob Ladd and Dr Thomas Damerau as Managing Director of the Follmann-Chemie Group.
