With the „Future Leaders Class of 2026“ programme, Paris Packaging Week is once again focusing on the next generation of the packaging industry. Ten young talents will show how sustainability, digitalisation and material innovation can work together with pioneering projects.
The world of packaging is changing - and this change needs new impetus. This is precisely where the „Future Leaders“ programme of Paris Packaging Week comes in. Ten outstanding young talents were once again honoured for the year 2026, whose projects set the course for a more responsible and innovation-driven industry should. The selected participants come from France, the United Kingdom, Hungary and the USA - and stand for a New generation of industry experts, that combine scientific knowledge, technical expertise, creativity and environmental awareness.
Their projects range from AI-supported recycling solutions and Reusable concepts to new bio-based materials through to modular refill stations for the retail trade. Also Data-supported tools for the evaluation of sustainability indicators or the development of new ones, resource-efficient spray systems with compressed air are part of the repertoire.
This diversity shows: The next generation of packaging development thinks in a networked, data-based and user-orientated way - with a clear focus on regulatory requirements such as the PPWR and at the same time a deep understanding of ecological contexts and market needs.

This year's Future Leaders include Thomas Bernad, founder of the Aerosolution-platform for aerosol technology, Danielle Goad, EMEA Director at Specright, or Helen Yang, founder of Clement Packaging. Academics such as Charles Bradley (Brunel University London) or Thi Thanh Truc Phung, head of research at the Institut Agro Dijon and project leader NextFoodPack, The research work being carried out by the two scientists shows how closely science and industrial application will have to move closer together in the future.
