Sanner is to consolidate its subsidiaries under a common umbrella brand in the future. The rebranding of the British company Springboard to Sanner UK will be the first step. With this move, the healthcare packaging manufacturer and MedTech CDMO aims to strengthen its integrated service offering along the entire value chain.
With the rebranding, Sanner is taking a further step in integration following the acquisition of Springboard at the beginning of 2024. According to the company, customers in the medical technology, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors will in future receive integrated development and manufacturing services from a single source – from early product development, human factors engineering, and industrialisation to commercial production.
Integration of development and manufacturing
Tom Oakley, founder of Springboard and now VP Strategic Partnerships at Sanner, describes the rebranding as more than just a name change: „Our rebranding to Sanner encompasses far more than just a name change. It represents a deeper integration of expertise, culture, and ambitions.“
CEO Stefan Verheyden also sees the merger as an important step for the company's development: „This development strengthens us in our endeavour to develop intelligent, life-enhancing health solutions.“ The company's increased international presence and global network mean it is better positioned to support customers in the market launch of new technologies.
Cambridge as a development location
According to Sanner, the Cambridge site will play a central role in its global CDMO strategy. The facility will offer laboratories and workshops for prototyping, as well as for the development and testing of medical devices. This integration aims to combine Springboard's existing expertise in engineering, electronics, software, and material sciences with the manufacturing and regulatory know-how of the Sanner Group.
Further rebranding planned in the USA
As a next step, Sanner is announcing the rebranding of the US company Gilero, acquired in 2024. In parallel, the corporate group is expanding its Production capacities in Greensboro and expands its development site in Chicago to provide additional capabilities for prototyping, assembly, and human factors engineering.
