Aerosol component manufacturer Lindal Group is further expanding its production presence in Germany. Following the acquisition of a production site in Wismar at the beginning of 2026, the company plans additional investments in the facility and recently presented the plant's development during a visit from politicians. The aim is to expand capacities within the European production network and to develop the site in the long term.
The Lindal Group took over the production facility in Wismar in January 2026. With the acquisition, the company aims to strengthen its European manufacturing structure, create additional capacity, and support long-term growth.
The facility is located approximately 40 kilometres from the Lindal site in Schönberg and has a total usable area of around 22,000 sqm. Of this, approximately 9,000 sqm are allocated to production, 10,500 sqm to storage areas, and about 2,500 sqm to office and welfare facilities. The plant is designed for high-quality polymer processing and features cleanroom production. As a so-called brownfield site, the company states that it already has existing infrastructure and logistical connections, allowing production to start more quickly than with a new build.
Further investments and expansion of production
In parallel with the acquisition, Lindal plans to make additional investments of 17 million Euros over the next three years. The capital is intended to introduce new production technologies, increase automation levels, and improve material flows, among other things. The goal is to develop the site as a modern manufacturing platform within the European network.
The site is also to be more closely integrated into the company's existing structures. According to the company, its proximity to the Schönberg plant allows for close logistical integration and facilitates the use of existing infrastructure. At the same time, more efficient production processes and optimised energy and material flows are intended to improve the sustainability performance.
On-site visit highlights regional significance
At the end of February 2026, the Minister of Economic Affairs of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Dr. Wolfgang Blank, and the Senator of the Hanseatic City of Wismar, Michael Berkhahn, visited the plant to learn about the expansion. The company management emphasised the strategic importance of the site within the European production structure.
According to the company, the plant is set to employ more than 85 members of staff in the future. Further jobs could be created as part of the expansion. Recruitment will primarily take place in the region, through which Lindal aims to permanently consolidate its industrial presence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Lindal states that it is developing the site into a modern production facility with increased automation and higher vertical integration. This is intended to ensure that Wismar plays an important role in the long term within the European production of aerosol valves, actuators, and spray caps.
The Lindal Group is a globally active provider in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of valves, actuators, and spray caps for aerosol products. The Hamburg-based company has over 60 years of experience in innovative dispensing solutions for the cosmetic, household, healthcare, food, and technical industries.
