The new wrap-around labelling system from HERMA celebrates its European premiere at interpack 2017.
Until now, users often had to make a difficult decision when it came to wrap-around labelling of pharmaceuticals, for example: Is a cost-effective and compact standard system with little scope for expansion sufficient due to common product dimensions? Or does it require a more complex and expansive customised machine with longer delivery times because various printing and control systems need to be integrated?
With this in mind, the company is presenting an innovative solution that offers the best of both worlds: The Compact wrap-around labeller 152E covers a broad spectrum of product dimensions, but can be customised from the outset, e.g. with a complete pharmaceutical equipment with a variety of functions. This includes modules for variable data printing, for checking imprints and codes or for the presence of labels and for a corresponding ejector.
Short set-up times
HERMA manufactures the new 152E in two versions: The version with Label roll-on tape manages entirely without format sets. This not only results in particularly short set-up times, but also a remarkable output of up to 100 products per minute. The version with Roller prism higher precision can be achieved. In this version, the system achieves around 90 products per minute. If the dimensions of the product change, only a few format sets need to be exchanged. Thanks to the use of a linear concept, there is no need to change a rotary star wheel in either version. The 152E is ejected via a corresponding box into which the products fall.
