Screen Truepress wins EDP Award for flexible packaging printing

Screen's Truepress PAC 830F has won the EDP Award 2026. The machine impressed the jury with its speed, quality, and sustainability in flexible packaging printing.

The expert jury of the European Digital Press Association has awarded Screen's Truepress PAC 830F the EDP Award 2026 for its achievements in digital flexible packaging production in the areas of speed, quality, and sustainability.

The Truepress PAC 830F has been awarded the EDP Award 2026 in the Packaging Printing category – Best Flexible Packaging System Digital/Hybrid. According to the jury, the printing press taking inkjet printing to a new level by combining industrial flexibility with high print quality for flexible plastic packaging.

At speeds of up to 75 metres per minute and using Screen’s food-safe inks, the press delivers print results with colour fidelity and print consistency that meet the requirements of retail brand packaging. At the same time, it offers production flexibility, rapid job changes and reduced makeready waste, redefining the economic case for digital production in flexible packaging.

Flexibility and sustainability

Particularly noteworthy is the Truepress PAC 830F's ability to print on a variety of plastic film substrates such as PET, BOPP and MDO-PE. The use of food-grade, water-based inks meets safety standards for food packaging. Additionally, the advanced Equios workflow software enables automation, which increases printing efficiency and opens up new business opportunities.
