POWTECH is the world's leading trade fair for mechanical process engineering, handling and analysis of powder and bulk solids. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is supporting the participation of young innovative companies from Germany at POWTECH 2017.
In 2016, over 16,000 trade visitors from all over the world came to POWTECH in Nuremberg to find out about the latest processes and technologies. The trade fair offers newcomers to the industry, i.e. young and innovative companies from Germany, a special advantage: they can rely on the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for their trade fair appearance.
Since mid-2007, the BMWi has been supporting the participation of such companies in selected leading international trade fairs in Germany. The programme aims to strengthen the export business and, at the same time, Germany as a business location. For subsidised participation in the Joint stand for young innovative companies there are still a few places available, according to organiser NürnbergMesse. The exhibitors who have already registered will be presenting a wide range of innovations, from wear protection for plant components to industrial agitators.
The joint stand organised by NürnbergMesse is run by the AUMA - Exhibition and Trade Fair Committee of the German Trade Fair Industry. According to the current guidelines, 60 per cent funding for young innovative companies is provided by the BMWi with up to EUR 7,500 or a cost coverage of up to 60 per cent. This includes services such as stand space, basic furnishings, lighting, electricity, cleaning, insurance, communication package and AUMA fee.
Eligible for funding are companies that present new product and process developments, have their registered office and business operations in the Federal Republic of Germany, fulfil the applicable EU definition of a small company and are less than ten years old.
