After a year's break, the „BrauBeviale 2018“ trade fair is back in Nuremberg this year. The capital goods trade fair for beverage production and marketing will be held from 13 to 15 November 2018. The exhibition area will be extended by one hall.
This year, the exhibiting companies will present their innovations and developments in nine halls. The Extension by one hall is a „moderate growth from within the industry“, says event director Andrea Kalrait. It remains a compact trade fair with a pleasant atmosphere.
Along the beverage industry process chain
Trade fair visitors can look forward to the new visitor tour. This time, the exhibitors will be located along the Beverage production process chain present. A visit to the trade fair can be organised as a tour around the exhibition park.
In Hall 1, the theme „Raw materials and sensory Refinement“ will be located here. Packaging solutions can be seen in Halls 4 and 4A. To Accessories and Marketing Halls 5 and 6 are also home to exhibitors from the components sector. Finally, the remaining Halls 7, 7A, 8 and 9 are dedicated to the Technologies dedicated.
The BrauBeviale sees itself as the world's most important industry event this year - in the appropriate jargon, you could also say: a regulars' table. Andrea Kalrait is convinced that the beverage industry is facing major challenges. The renowned trade fair aims to present solutions for how companies of all sizes can respond to trends such as Digitalisation, automation, modified Consumer behaviour, commercialisation and shortage of raw materials.

Forum BrauBeviale, congresses, prizes, theme pavilions
Visitors and companies will find relevant suggestions in the specialised range and in the Supporting programme of the trade fair. Three training events will be held the day before the trade fair: the „German Beverages“ export forum, the sixth „European MicroBrew Symposium“ organised by the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin and the „Heirloom & Terroir Barley and Malt Symposium“ organised by RMI Analytics.
There will be presentations and discussions on all three days of the fair at the „Forum BrauBeviale“. Food trend researcher Hanni Rützer will give a keynote speech at the start of the trade fair.
Right at the opening on Wednesday, the Forum of the Bavarian Beer Order will be awarded. In addition to the medal, the „European Beer Star“ will also be awarded in 65 categories at the trade fair. BrauBeviale will also be the venue for the German Beer Sommelier Championships. The final begins on Wednesday at 4 pm.
The „Craft Beer Area“ attract attention. Special topics such as microbreweries, PET recycling, innovative beverage packaging and sustainable water management will be covered in various themed pavilions.

BrauBeviale takes place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre in three-year blocks, followed by a one-year break. After last year's break, a „triple“ will now follow, which will extend into 2020. BrauBeviale is organised by NürnbergMesse GmbH. Since BrauBeviale 2016, NürnbergMesse has been pursuing an internationalisation strategy under the name „Beviale Family“. A network of leading events for the beverage industry is being established in international growth markets in particular. The first „offshoot“, Beviale, was launched in Moscow in 2015. Other trade fairs operate under the name „Craft Beer“, for example in China, India and Italy. Events in Brazil, the UK and Thailand are also part of the „Beviale Family“.
