Bruno Schnekenburger has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Yaskawa Europe's European headquarters in Eschborn. He was previously President of the Robotics Division. Since 1 September 2018, this role has been held by the previous Vice President Marcus Mead (photo). Mead was also appointed Managing Director of Yaskawa Europe and is now also represented on the Board of Directors.
„Following the outstanding successes of the past four years in his role as President of the European Robotics Division In his new role, Mr Schnekenburger will play a key role in improving the Yaskawa Europe Group and strengthen it further,“ says Manfred Stern, CEO of Yaskawa Europe and Executive Officer of the Japanese parent company Yaskawa Electric. „I am sure that Mr Mead will continue Mr Schnekenburger's successful work. His extensive and long-standing experience, which he was able to acquire in leading positions in the field of factory automation, will provide him with a good foundation,“ Mr Stern continued.
The 48-year-old Marcus Mead is a graduate engineer in aerospace engineering. Before joining Yaskawa, Mead was head of the European Pneumatic Division at Parker Hannifin and also Managing Director of Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Austria.
