ISG software solutions enable virtual system tests at any level of detail

ISG Industrielle Steuerungstechnik GmbH is exhibiting the latest version of its hardware-in-the-loop system „ISG-virtuos“ at SPS IPC Drives 2018. The Stuttgart-based company will also be showcasing the virtual test tool „ISG-dirigent“ and the latest version of the control kernel „ISG-kernel“.

With ISG virtuoso create users down to the component level „digital twins“ of their machines and systems. Various modules can be used to simulate and parameterise control systems and connected components in order to analyse their behaviour in real time. Customised modules can be created with the „Software Development Kit“ (SDK) in C++.

Test automation tool supports work with digital twin

The test automation tool „ISG conductor“ supports work with the digital twin. Numerous automated component, integration and system tests can be carried out on real control systems. All test sequences can be freely parameterised to any level of detail and can be saved and reused.

The „ISG-virtuos“ software platform connects machines and systems as well as their physical infrastructure with the digital world - without sacrificing real control functions (PLC, MC, RC, CNC) and in control real time of 1 metre per second. This enables fast, deterministic dialogue between the controller and its digital twin via the real fieldbus. In addition to the main field of application „virtual commissioning“, users use the platform for concept validation and testing in advance or in parallel to the real system, for example for remote maintenance, optimisation and employee and customer training.
