An online service for „folding cartons on demand“ has been launched by August Faller GmbH & Co. KG has launched an online service for "folding boxes on demand". The subsidiary PackEx GmbH, founded in autumn 2017, offers the completely digital processing of orders, production and delivery of folding cartons.
The products ordered online are produced Folding boxes in Worms in the Rhineland-Palatinate. This location is ideal because it is conveniently located in terms of transport links. Customers throughout Germany could be easily reached from there.
PackEx specialises in small batches of one to 5,000 units. The products ordered are to be manufactured Digital printing technologies and the optimisation of production processes within 72 hours. Offset and digital printing processes will be used. For the first time, PackEx is also consistently using the seven-colour mode to produce special colours.
Online offer helps to save resources
The Flexibility of the online offering results from optimised order processing. Orders are summarised in automated order processing procedures, printed together on gang sheets and punched or lasered.

According to PackEx, the Logistics processes. Lorry shipping was switched from Euro pallets to parcel shipping. This reduces both transport costs and CO2-emissions. This would save around 1,500 tonnes of waste per year.
Virtual warehouse in the PackEx app
PackEx wants to offer its customers faster access to folding carton products than if they had their own warehouse. This is ensured by the smartphone application, which is used to fulfil orders.
