Memjet announces the development of the new DuraFlex technology. The modular solution for the Single-pass printing combines Memjet's familiar speed, simplicity and affordability with new features such as increased durability, print widths for A4 and A3+ formats with just one four-colour printhead, high-speed data paths and new modules to control all printhead functions.
Compact and modular solution
This enables OEM partners to Cost-effective desktop printers and production machines entry-level machines that offer unrivalled quality and speed. Memjet will be presenting the new technology and other innovations from the manufacturer for the first time at Labelexpo from 25 to 27 September 2019 in Brussels.

DuraFlex - fast, flexible, price-conscious
Thanks to its flexibility and cost-effectiveness, DuraFlex technology offers OEM partners and their customers the opportunity to switch to inkjet printing or expand existing product ranges without major risk.
Like the other Memjet technologies, DuraFlex is characterised by its Modular architecture out. This means that OEM development times are significantly shorter and also enable OEM partner solutions to reach market maturity more quickly.
The cost benefits of DuraFlex extend to the end customer, as these printing solutions cost less to purchase and operate. The Long service life of the new DuraFlex four-colour printheads stands for less downtime, more productivity and a Higher profitability on the part of the print service providers.
With 1600 x 1600 dpi and integrated nozzle redundancy, the DuraFlex print heads produce a Market-leading print quality with a throughput of up to 46 m/min.
The DuraFlex modules and print heads are available in both A4 and A3+ format. Up to 4 A3+ printheads can be connected in series to achieve a maximum print width of 1270mm. The technology includes a Powerful, integrated RIP for data processing and supports external RIP front-ends for increased performance and further data control.
Innovative ink set
The water-based pigment inks from DuraFlex are lightfast, waterproof and scratch resistant. They are designed for indirect food contact applications and are suitable for a wide variety of materials, including porous, uncoated offset, treated and coated inkjet media.
The fully compatible ink set and the affordability, performance and flexibility of DuraFlex technology enable OEM partners to develop a wide range of solutions for a variety of market sectors and applications, including labelling, postal addressing, work and business, light production printing, packaging and wide format printing. This opens up new business opportunities for manufacturers, brand owners and print service providers.
