ProfileScan with a new look: The relaunch of the ProfileScan stationary registration station from Kommissionier- und Handhabungstechnik GmbH (KHT) brings with it many new features. The optimised version not only reliably measures the volume of the transported items or packages, but now also detects deviations from the standard dimensions.
Deformed or oversized items can thus be automatically sorted out in order to Error-free automated storage processes to ensure the best possible performance. The software, interfaces and design have also been further developed.

The system automatically records the Height, width, length and weight of goods. Depending on customer requirements, the detection station can be positioned anywhere on conveyor systems. The new version has been on the market since this month and is available in the sizes 640 x 640 cm and 960 x 960 cm.
Unlike its predecessor, the current version of ProfileScan recognises Deviations from standard dimensions. It immediately realises if, for example, a corner of the opening of a shipping carton is protruding and triggers a follow-up action that can be defined by the user. For example, deviating items can be sorted out using the conveyor technology in order to make repairs to the shipping materials and only then store the goods.

However, this is not the only adjustment screw that the Gelsenkirchen-based developer has tweaked: A standardised and optimised design streamline the production process and thus shorten the delivery time. At the same time, the company also improved and standardised its software and interfaces in order to optimally cover current and future customer requirements and at the same time the best possible after-sales service to offer.
