Thimm was honoured with two competition awards for the displays and packaging of the Zemanka organic bakery: Popai CE Award and Obal roku.
The sustainable corrugated cardboard packaging was honoured with the Czech Obal roku back in October. The displays also recently won the international Popai CE Award in two categories. Both developments promote the sale of loose baked goods in the retail sector.
To unpackaged biscuits Thimm developed and produced a corrugated cardboard sales chute for the Czech organic bakery Zemanka. The two-part chute consists of a corrugated cardboard outer box and an inner packaging containing the loose goods.
To produce this inner packaging, the Corrugated board foodWave which is suitable for direct food contact. The chute has been designed so that the baked goods slide forwards ready to hand at all times. A lockable Lid flap protects the unpackaged food from external influences. Stacking lugs on the outside of the packaging ensure stability and form the basis for the display.

The inner packaging made from the certified foodWave corrugated board grade can be easily replaced by the retailer after sale.
Combined with a Topper, a plinth and a plinth base made of water-repellent corrugated cardboard the packaging forms an efficient and sustainable display for long-term use. A compartment for information material and bags is attached to the front of the display.
The Czech Competition Obal roku annually honours innovative packaging and displays with the title Packaging of the year out. On 24 October 2019 in Prague, Thimm received the award for packaging development in the category Food.
