Beumer: Logistics heroes support the Christmas business

With 4,500 logistics heroes, the Beumer Group is once again supporting the top gift deliverer - i.e. Father Christmas - this year, for example in Wernberg in Carinthia.

This is because Österreichische Post AG operates a distribution centre there which, at peak times - such as before Christmas Up to 50,000 parcels can process 6,000 parcels per hour. The centrepiece is a Sorting plant of the Beumer Group.

The system is also climate-friendly, thanks to energy-efficient drives in the BG Sorter. Servo-based, they reduce the power requirement and CO2-emissions. With this efficient, friction-locked solution the contact pressure of the drive wheel automatically depending on the required drive force - even when braking. This increases the Efficiency of up to 90 per cent and increases the service life of the drive wheels.

More than three million employees in the logistics sector in Germany alone not only support Father Christmas, but also provide global flow of goods for the entire year for sure.
