With pure edge, the Heilbronn-based cutting-die manufacturer Marbach ensures corrugated board packaging with clean visible edges. Packaging manufacturers and brand owners are therefore increasingly focussing on this innovative technology.
„Brand owners want attractive corrugated board packaging with clean visible edges for the sales-boosting presentation of their products at the point of sale. The use of conventional die-cutting tools often results in lint formation and angel hair on the visible edges. This is of course an absolute no-go for products where the beauty of the packaging is important,“ says Head of Marketing Tina Dost.
With pure edge, imprints and lint formation are a thing of the past, as the conventional effect gumming along cutting lines is no longer necessary. through steel hold-down device is replaced. As a result, the corrugated board is completely compressed directly next to the blade during the die-cutting process. This in turn ensures a Very low wear during the punching process. The Longevity of the tool is secured.
„The advantages for packaging manufacturers are obvious: consistent results over a very long period of time, no rejects and no production downtime,“ says Tina Dost.
