Heilbronn-based cutting-die manufacturer Marbach can look back on an eventful 2019 with new locations in Mexico, Poland and the USA. The group of companies now employs more than 1,500 people worldwide.
"2019 was a very eventful year for us. The opening of our new location in Mexico in January was followed by a second location in the USA (Michigan City, IN) and the takeover of a competitor in Poland (Poznan). These expansions allow us to provide our customers with even better local support," explains Head of Marketing Tina Dost.
New branch in Mexico
The packaging market in Mexico is growing very strongly. Large Investments in punching equipment Mexican companies would like to invest in international top level produce. Another plant in the USA
The newly created Capacities in Michigan City will complement Marbach America's current resources at its Charlotte, NC location. Around four million euros Marbach has invested in its new branch. Around 20 people are currently employed in Michigan City. The number of employees is to be increased to 50 over the next few years. The plant in Michigan City is equipped with an extensive Portfolio of tools for packaging production manufactured. In addition to standard folding nesting tools, Marbach will also produce High-tech tools manufacture.
Expansion in Poland
The demand for Marbach moulds has steadily increased in Poland in recent years. After the two traditional Polish plants in Tarnowskie Góry and Kielce Marbach has therefore expanded its capacities in Poland and taken over a competitor with a total of around 175 employees. The new Marbach plant has an area of 1,350 square metres and employs 50 people. This investment will enable Marbach to expand its Production capacity increased by almost 20 % increase.
