Sanner: Change in management

Sanner has appointed Ralf Tiemann as CEO of the entire group. He will be supported by the new CTO Johannis Willem van Vliet and the long-standing CFO Claudia Tonhäuser.

As of 1 January 2020 Sanner the organisational structure was renewed: Ralf Tiemann was appointed CEO of the entire Group.

He will be supported by a three-person team consisting of the new CTO and Managing Director of Sanner GmbH, Dr. Johannis Willem van Vliet, the position of CSO, which has yet to be filled, and the long-standing CFO Claudia Tonhäuser. 

At Sanner, the signs are pointing to growth. Accordingly, the Bensheim-based company has decided to reallocate responsibilities within the organisation. Ralf Tiemann, which has already been running the subsidiary Sanner Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging Materials Co. Ltd. headquartered in Kunshan, China, has as of 1 January 2020 took over the newly created position of CEO of the entire Sanner Group. 

„Sanner is excellently positioned internationally to continue on the growth path it has embarked on,“ says Ralf Tiemann. „In addition to investing in the various locations, we will also gradually expand our portfolio in the coming years. This includes intelligent solutions for greater treatment compliance as well as sustainable, bio-based plastic packaging.“

Dirk Mähr, who has been a member of the Management Board since August 2015, left the company at the end of 2019. Sanner therefore appointed Dr Johannis Willem van Vliet to the Management Board last summer. As CTO He is responsible for the areas of production, development and quality. Until the position of CSO is filled, van Vliet will also assume temporary responsibility for sales, marketing, product management and human resources. Mr van Vliet, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, brings many years of experience in Research and development and Production and automation with.

„This fits in perfectly with Sanner's strategic direction: by investing more in development activities, Industry 4.0 and expanding the medtech portfolio, we want to further strengthen the company in international competition,“ says Johannis Willem van Vliet. 

Claudia Tonhäuser continues to be responsible for the areas of Finance, Controlling, Purchasing and IT. The studied Business IT specialist has been with Sanner for many years and has held the position of CFO since 2010.
