This year, the Glass Packaging Action Forum is honouring innovative products packaged in glass from the food and beverage industry with the „Product Innovation in Glass“ award for the seventh time. The application phase started on 1 January 2020 and ends on 30 April 2020. The nominees and winners will be announced on 10 September 2020 at the Trend Day Glass industry congress in Munich.
How to apply for the „Product innovation in glass“ award“
The Glass Packaging Action Forum invites all companies from the food and beverage bottling and manufacturing industry to apply for the „Product Innovation in Glass“ award. The requirements: The product must be packaged in glass and should be between the sold on the German market for the first time between 1 April 2019 and 30 April 2020 have been submitted. Participation - also with several submissions per company - is free of charge.
Selection of nominees and winners
The award is divided into the categories „Small companies“, "Medium and large companies" and "Crowd favourite“. Companies with up to 50 employees are considered „small companies“, while companies with 51 or more employees are considered „medium and large companies“. At the end of the application phase, an independent jury of experts evaluates the submissions based on various criteria, nominates the three best products in each of the „Small Companies“ and „Medium and Large Companies“ categories and finally selects the winners.
The winner of the „Audience Favourite“ category is chosen by visitors to the Trendtags glass - the industry event for decision-makers from marketing, retail and purchasing. During the event on 10 September 2020 in Munich The official award ceremony for the „Product Innovation in Glass“ will also take place at this event.
