Organic sector meets in Nuremberg

From 12 to 15 February 2020, around 3,500 exhibitors will be presenting their products at the world's leading trade fair for organic food and a further 300 at the International Trade Fair for Natural Cosmetics to more than 50,000 expected trade visitors from over 140 countries.

When the Nuremberg exhibition halls once again smell of chocolate, coffee, tasty snacks, fresh herbs and essential oils, the international organic and natural cosmetics industry comes together every year for the Biofach and Vivaness trade fair duo.

From 12 to 15 February 2020 present themselves at the World's leading trade fair for organic food around 3,500 exhibitors, at the International Trade Fair for Natural Cosmetics another 300 to the more than 50,000 expected trade visitors from over 140 countries. With the expansion by two halls, the organiser NürnbergMesse is providing Biofach this year with even more space ready for exhibitors. Vivaness is moving into the new Hall 3C, which has been recognised for its sustainable design, for the first time.

This year, the trade fair is off to a prominent start: Dr Jane Goodall, Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE), primatologist, environmental activist and UN Messenger of Peace will give the official opening speech on 12 February.

New products, newcomers and start-ups

Trade visitors in search of New products and current trends will find what they are looking for at the two new product stands. The Biofach exhibitors will be presenting around 550 new products, with around 150 new products registered for Vivaness. As part of the Best New Product Awards visitors can also vote on site for the most innovative and interesting product in their eyes.

25 German start-ups and newcomers of the organic sector present themselves at the Joint stand for young innovative companies, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The aim is to give companies that are no more than 10 years old the best possible opportunities to commercialise their new product and process developments on the global market. At the same time Vivaness joint stand „Innovation made in Germany“ For the first time, ten German start-ups presented their products to an international trade audience.

Vivaness offers at the Special area Breeze also provides a platform for international newcomers. This is where natural cosmetics start-ups, small manufacturers and trendy eco-niche brands showcase new creations and fresh concepts, special designs and Exceptional packaging.

The extensive accompanying programme for both trade fairs will once again include lectures and workshops on current packaging topics. This year's programme will focus on aspects such as Recyclability, Eco design, the use renewable raw materials and the topic „Shopping without packaging“ in focus. Packaging and materials expert Carolina Schweig will also take a tour of the new products stands at both trade fairs to show examples, ideas and approaches to sustainability in packaging and evaluate the packaging on display from the perspective of the new packaging law and the EU plastics strategy.
