Leybold presents new screw vacuum pumps that compress without operating fluid in the compression chamber and are therefore particularly suitable as backing pumps in food packaging.

The Dryvac DV 500 and DV 800 screw vacuum pumps compact completely dryi.e. they do not require any operating fluids in the compression chamber. They are therefore particularly suitable as backing pumps in the Food packaging as well as in pumping stations of heat treatment or coating systems. Thanks to their screw design with specially adapted variable pitch, they operate extremely efficiently due to their low power consumption. Compared to oil-lubricated vacuum pumps, they require little maintenance, which minimises operating costs. The robust screw vacuum pumps are also characterised by high particle and condensate compatibility.

Screw vacuum pumps with high pumping speed

As Specialist for dry vacuum technology Leybold has several different screw vacuum pumps in its product portfolio. In contrast to oil-lubricated pistons or rotary vane vacuum pumps, they feature a Stable pumping speed curve over time on. The Dryvac DV 800 is based on the proven Dryvac DV platform from Leybold and, according to Leybold, sets standards in this size class in terms of suction power and energy efficiency. Its dimensions are directly derived from the DV 650 models, which should make the changeover and integration easier for the user. The DV 800 opens up new possibilities for applications in which a Higher pumping speed is required. In traditional markets, this is the case in many applications, such as airlocks or packaging systems.

According to Leybold, the Dryvac DV 500 and DV 800 are equipped with an easily customisable and networkable frequency converter and IE3 motors. Monitoring via a Cloud platform can be easily realised on request and is available as standard from Q3. The compact design of the Dryvacs makes it easy to install a Ruvac Roots vacuum pump as a booster. The pump combinations DV 1200 and the new DV 1600 round off the portfolio with their even higher pumping speeds.
