In addition to the various collaborative robots from TM Robots, Hilpert electronics AG also offers ready-made application solutions such as the TM Palletising Operator. The fully equipped cobot cell palletises cardboard boxes and optimises logistics.

„The TM Palletising Operator is a palletising system. Cross-industry plug & play palletising concept, which consists of the cobot including the vision system, the vacuum suction cup, the software and the safety sensors. The Palletising Operator can be installed and take on new tasks in a very short space of time, offering logistics staff a high degree of flexibility and safety,“ explains Ralf Jentscher, Sales & Product Engineer at Hilpert electronics for the Robotics division.

Depending on the desired reach, the customer can choose from different TM-Cobot models. The grippers are also adapted to the cardboard boxes to be transported. A maximum of 10 kg can be lifted by the cobot. The maximum palletising height is 1.90 m. Up to seven cartons can be moved per minute. In addition to palletising identical cardboard boxes also different carton sizes within one order palletised or depalletised. This can be done from pallet to pallet or the cartons can be removed from a conveyor belt.

TM Palletising Operator works safely in a collaborative space

During the palletising process, further tasks can be prepared and transferred to the palletising operator via offline programming. The software provides an intuitive user interface and detailed instructions for each step to guide and direct the user through the entire job creation process, such as setting the case or pallet size or the palletising position and sequence. The user can then a preview of the palletising process by means of a simulation function and make further optimisations based on these. The software functions also offer collision detection.

To ensure human safety in the collaborative space, the TM Palletising Operator can be equipped with a optional lidar system that monitors the collaborative space. If the cobot detects human movement within the space, it reduces its speed to minimise the risk of collision.
