Koenig & Bauer Coding has launched the new iCon 3 coding laser onto the market. The latest product in the iCon series is regarded as an economical alternative to inkjet printing with the advantages of laser technology.

With Koenig & Bauer Coding the go-ahead has been given for the market launch of the iCon 3 marking laser in the entry-level class. The device is the latest product in the iCon series, which is specially designed for Permanent labelling and marking in the areas of consumer goods and industrial products.

It offers users an economical alternative to inkjet printing, but has the advantages of laser technology: laser coding works cleanly and it no solvent emissions are produced. By dispensing with consumables, the iCON also reduces operating costs enormously.

Reduce CO₂ emissions with the iCon 3

Thanks to a new touchscreen controller with updated software, the iCon 3 is easy to install, operate and maintain. A Integrated assistant helps with simple configurations and provides templates for creating reports. Technicians on site receive immediate support through the accessible online video tutorials.

With very low power consumption and the absence of volatile solvents, the laser also helps to reduce CO₂ emissions. High-tech optics are used in the iCon 3. The powerful hardware and innovative, cost-effective software mean that the new laser can reach the high belt speeds of most production systems.

"The market launch of the first iCon series set the benchmark for the entry class of laser coding years ago. We have continued to raise the bar with subsequent product launches. The iCon 3 is the first choice in its class in terms of cost-effectiveness, user-friendliness and environmental compatibility." Benedikt Berberich, Product Manager Laser at Koenig & Bauer Coding
