Mosca will be presenting its new KZV-321 pallet strapping machine and the UCB strapping machine with banding technology live for the first time at Fachpack.

According to Mosca, it shows how Sustainability and digitalisation at the end of the packaging line and will be presenting the high-performance KZV-321 machine and the UCB with banding technology live for the first time.

"Our stand at Fachpack is the first time in almost two years that we have been represented at a trade fair. During this time, we have been working flat out on new innovations and developments and are delighted to be presenting two of them at our stand."  Timo Mosca, Managing Director Mosca

KZV-321 takes over the tasks of two machines

The flexible high-performance model KZV-321 straps both single pallets with different heights and pallets stacked on top of each other. Previously, this would have required two individual machines, Strapping a double pallet through the pallet base was not possible - the KZV-321 combines both applications efficiently and fully automatically in a single machine.

A wide range of product heights are no problem for the machine: with six movable tongues at three different heights it adapts optimally to the respective product. It secures double pallets through the pallet bases for effective transport protection.

This not only enables maximum strap tension without damaging the product, but also ensures greater sustainability: as the strapping is not wrapped around the entire composite, but only from floor to floor, the KZV-321 saves material and thus protects the environment. The machine is also economical in terms of energy consumption: Mosca's patented SoniXs ultrasonic technology is used for strapping. Compared to conventional hot wedge units, this requires significantly less energy as there are no warm-up phases.

UCB strapping machine now with banding machine

The UCB for the corrugated board industry, which is returning to Fachpack in 2021 with a little twist, also focuses on maximum flexibility. Now also with banding technology which has been available since the middle of the year. It is therefore ideally equipped for sensitive products such as high-gloss products: The 20 mm wide banding film does not cut, even with high band tension, and prevents even the smallest product damage.

Users can switch between the banding unit and strapping unit in a matter of minutes to select the right transport securing system for each product. The strapping unit is also equipped with a double dispenser. When the strapping runs out, it automatically switches from an empty reel to a replacement reel and seals the new strap without waste. This not only increases the efficiency of the machine, but also avoids downtimes in particular.

The from Mosca The PET strapping produced consists entirely of recyclate, while the PP strapping already contains up to 30 per cent recyclate - a further Increasing the proportion of recycled material is what the company is striving for. For these endeavours, Mosca was recently named the most sustainable company in mechanical engineering excellent. Interested parties can find out more about sustainability in strapping at the trade fair stand.
