With a completely new machine series, Langguth GmbH wants to set new standards with a new application technology.
The company's engineers chose a new approach for the machine design. The residue-free label application enables an optimised packaging design. Producers thus succeed in the often difficult balancing act between marketing demands and the reduction of unit costs. The machine's self-cleaning programme completes the holistic idea of the machine concept, in which the influence of practical user experience played a key role in the new development. The exclusive use of materials such as paper and glue results in sustainable production.
Inventiveness is also demonstrated with the design of a high-speed aligner that can be used on all machines. Integrated with the latest camera technology, it enables packaging to be aligned for targeted labelling applications. Where previously several lines or complex machines were necessary, the new aligner offers a highly flexible function that creates new possibilities for producers' packaging design.
Looking to the future, the experts will also be addressing the topic of labelling options on packaging. Langguth is developing a new concept for increasing the labelling area on labels using the familiar label separation and new folding and cutting technology. The integration of printing technologies increases flexibility of use and allows producers to free themselves from the tight corset of labelling regulations, while at the same time offering extended packaging design options.
