Ifco's Brown Lift Lock RPC for bread and bakery products was honoured with the Conai Eco Design Award. The company was also honoured for its contribution to the development of an increasingly sustainable supply chain and for its business model based on the circular economy.
Like the entire family of reusable packaging from Ifco, the Brown Lift Locks, winner of the Eco-Design Award, offer numerous environmental benefits. CO2-emissions as well as water and energy consumption are significantly lower than when using disposable packaging. Also Food and solid waste is significantly reduced. Ifco RPCs are reused, cleaned and disinfected up to 120 times and granulated at the end of their life cycle and used for the production of new RPCs used.
Ifco focusses on sustainability
In contrast to disposable packaging Pooling systems reuse resources for as long as possible and thus realise their full potential. At the end of their useful life, products and materials are recovered and regenerated. This fact has also given Ifco the special Legambiente award for the reuse of already recycled material brought in.
