The Swiss company Sigg is launching a drinking bottle made from 100% recycled aluminium. The closure of the Sigg Traveller MyPlanet is also based on renewable materials such as cellulose.
After the 5th use, the bottle should already have an average of one Better CO2 balance than a PET bottle have. „Like all our aluminium bottles, it is very light and at the same time so robust that it can be used for many years,“ explains René ab Egg, Marketing Director SIGG Switzerland Bottles AG. If such a drinking bottle is used about three times a week for ten years, a total of around 1,500 PET bottles can be saved.
Climate-neutral production
The Production of all Sigg aluminium bottles is certified as climate-neutral by ClimatePartnerAll CO2 emissions generated during production are offset by supporting climate protection projects. 100% recycled aluminium is used to manufacture the bottle body: This can be recycled practically indefinitely without any loss of quality. The closure is leak-proof for carbonated drinks and is based on renewable materials. Like all Sigg drinking bottles, the Traveller MyPlanet is free from BPA and other harmful substances.
The Traveller MyPlanet will be available in stores from March.
