
Pro Carton has appointed Michele Bianchi as its new President. He succeeds Horst Bittermann, who held the position for four years. Pro Carton and CEPI Cartonboard are also looking into merging to form an alliance.
Michele Bianchi succeeds Horst Bittermann, who is stepping down after four years in office. Horst Bittermann will lead a consultation and reorganisation process and hold the position of General Director of Pro Carton. Winfried Mühling will Per Carton will continue to be available in the role of Director of Marketing and Communications.
At the Annual General Meeting in Krakow, the members of CEPI Cartonboard and Pro Carton have announced their intention to to consider merging into a strong joint alliance under the name Pro Carton. The main objective is to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency through strengthened cooperation and to better involve members and their respective experts in the clearly defined areas of work, marketing and communication as well as public affairs. The consultation process with the responsible body, the Director General, has already begun and is expected to be finalised in the course of 2023. The new organisation will have a enable better coordination of activities, promote synergies, strengthen the voice of the industry and broaden member engagement effect.
