Printing press manufacturer Koenig & Bauer will be presenting a new high-speed inkjet printing unit for glass, plastic and metal printing at K 2022. There will also be daily live presentations of the machines on show at the company's stand.
The sales and service team will be presenting the CI flexo printing presses Evo XC, XD and XG at the trade fair stand and explaining Intelligent solutions to reduce waste, energy consumption and set-up times. The machines in the Evo series are suitable for all types of flexible packaging substrates, including recycled or compostable materials. Visitors to the trade fair will also learn how they can optimise the use of all digital tools and software modules to increase the productivity and efficiency of their flexographic printing production.
With regard to sustainability, solutions developed for sustainable packaging will be presented at the stand ⎼ for example water-based or UV LED inks as well as hybrid solutions of the combined CI lines with a downstream flexo or gravure printing unit for varnishes and coatings.
World first at the trade fair
In addition, Koenig & Bauer and its subsidiary Kammann will be presenting their wide range of Applications in the fields of screen printing, digital printing, hot stamping and hybrid applications on plastic articles. In the KAMMANN K15 Q-SE machine on display, visitors can experience the new high-speed inkjet printing unit for the first time. Printing of cylindrical and conical articles made of glass, plastic and metal for higher output quantities experience.
With its performance data, this world first rounds off the current portfolio of inkjet printing units. These consist of the Standard printing unit, the parallel printing unit for realising colour prints and applications with "Digital Printed Relief" in a printing station and the tandem inkjet printing unit for high output when decorating cylindrical items.
With the various designs of the mobile hot stamping station K29 S Koenig & Bauer Kammann will be presenting its hot stamping application enhancements to the public for the first time. The exhibit features Novelty a mobile hot stamping machine for the realisation of embossing on cylindrical and conical articles on display. Numerous video sequences provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the various equipment details and functional features of the different Kammann product families. Print samples with unusual designs give an idea of the possibilities offered by the machines.
