
Rieke has invested in a multi-colour inkjet digital printer to expand its print offering on a range of closures. The industrial high-speed inkjet printer offers increased print capacity, higher speeds, energy savings and overall higher print quality.
Rieke is part of TriMas Packaging, a Manufacturer of injection-moulded dispenser systems and closures. The new multi-colour inkjet digital printer is now in operation at Rieke's US headquarters in Auburn, Indiana.

Rieke has installed the high-performance printer in order to Growing customer demand for multi-colour printed logos and eye-catching designs on flat caps and closures. The device is said to be ideal for printing on polypropylene and polyethylene plastic or metal flat caps with a maximum diameter of 120 mm. The printer is also capable of printing QR codes, which are an ideal way to direct customers to a website or initiate a call-to-action.
In addition to the improved operational and printing features, Rieke opted for a digital inkjet printer because of the sustainability benefits. The printer uses environmentally friendly UV inks, which not only cause less ink waste and require less ink supply, but also produce fewer volatile organic compounds than the previous offset pad printing process. The machine also reduces energy consumption.
