Interzero, a provider of circular solutions in Europe, and Sykell, a company specialising in sustainable reusable packaging, today announced their strategic partnership. The two companies are now jointly offering the Einfach Mehrweg deposit system. This means that an integrated system solution is now available for retail groups through to owner-managed catering businesses. The two companies will be presenting Einfach Mehrweg together for the first time at EuroShop in Düsseldorf.
Einfach Mehrweg aims to offer an alternative to disposable packaging for to-go food and drinks, which is disposed of after use. For consumers, the system is as user-friendly as the proven deposit bottle system designed.
The holistic approach of the new system is intended to avoid the isolated solutions that have emerged in some cases since the introduction of mandatory reuse at the beginning of the year: Simply reusable is aimed at different participants from food retail, the bakery trade, (system) catering, petrol stations and many more. Through a complete package of logistics, cleaning and deposit billing the deposit system also offers large system partners with many points of sale a simple all-in-one solution. The companies pay a „pay per use“ fee only for the containers used. All services are included in the usage fee. Interzero's new partnership with Sykell builds on its existing pooling solutions.

For consumers, Simply Reusable offers several advantages: they can significantly reduce their personal waste as there are suitable, food-safe containers for waste-free transport of practically all food and drinks. Customers pay a small deposit for the containers at the checkout. Returns and refunds are possible across all companies and sectors at any participating system partner. Particularly practical: the containers can also be returned via many bottle deposit machines.
