The international packaging and paper group Mondi is strengthening its machinery at the Eschenbach site with modern technology. The investment of around EUR 9 million, which was completed on schedule in the first quarter of this year, includes modernisations along the entire process chainThe new machine will include the installation of a state-of-the-art folding carton inliner, additional tape applications for the corrugator and an upgrade in the area of automation with packing robots and a new automatic bundling system.

The Mondi e-commerce portfolio consists of various innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, that meet the requirements of online mail order companies as well as the expectations of online shoppers. By investing in our production facility today, we are paving the way for the sustainable and unique packaging solutions of tomorrow. With the upgrade, we are also emphasising the attractiveness of the workplace and promoting the training and further education of our workforce,“ Vogel continues.
