Knüppel Verpackung GmbH will be showcasing its packaging solutions for the confectionery and snack industry at ProSweets in Cologne. The focus is on innovative paper-based solutions.
The demand for recyclable packaging continues unabated. Billet will be presenting several solutions in the areas of palletising and cushioning inner packaging at the international supplier fair for confectionery and snacks. For example Paperbubble is a paper solution that replaces classic bubble wrap for small and medium-sized shipping goods. The embossed structure offers similar cushioning properties to the film and protects the packaged goods from damage during transport. Together with the shipping carton, the entire packaging can be easily recycled or reused.
The new RecyCold thermal insulation packaging is suitable for chilled and frozen food and is also a sustainable solution made of paper. Paper cool packs protect together with an insulating cardboard lining made of paper protects temperature-sensitive products from temperature fluctuations for up to 48 hours. Consumers can simply dispose of the entire packaging as waste paper or reuse it. The gel contained in the cool packs is biodegradable. An interesting solution, especially for the growing food shipping industry.
Geami Wrap n Go is of interest to anyone looking for not only cushioning and protective but also aesthetic packaging for their product. The handy tabletop converter produces visually appealing packaging material made from a combination of soft tissue paper and a honeycomb-shaped punched kraft paper with a cushioning effect.
A lot is transported on pallets in the confectionery and snack industry: Cartons, bagged goods, tins or bottles, to name just a few types of packaging. To prevent the goods from being damaged, good securing is essential here. Traditionally, pallets are wrapped with stretch film in order to create a load bond between the packaged goods on the pallet. In combination with an effective anti-slip paper, however, film consumption can be significantly reduced. The Antim anti-slip paper presented at the Knüppel stand holds packaged goods securely in position even at an angle of 50°. As an alternative to corrugated cardboard layer pads, Antim also saves storage space thanks to its smaller volume.
