As a solution for the food and beverage industry, Orbis is presenting plastic pallets that have been developed for transporting aluminium cans, glass and plastic bottles and other solid packaging. Users benefit from the durability of the reusable solutions. At the same time, the dimensional stability of the plastic packaging leads to efficiency benefits in automation applications.
The GitterPak and XXLPak large load carriers are suitable for transporting heavy loads in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. They can carry loads of up to 900 kilograms and protect products thanks to their robustness. When folded, up to 272 GitterPaks can be transported per lorry load, which helps to reduce CO2-emissions. The XXLPaks in extra length enable a return ratio of up to 1:2.6 when folded. The option to customise the height and door configurations also allows companies to adapt the large load carriers to their supply chain.
In the area of hazardous goods transport, Orbis presents the UN-certified (UN4H2/UN50H) IonPak for the transport of lithium-ion batteries and other solid hazardous goods in packaging group Il. Depending on the version, the gross payload is 477 to 915 kilograms in accordance with RID/ADR. A hazardous goods-optimised inner packaging solution, which is adapted to individual customer requirements, ensures comprehensive product protection.
Orbis transport packaging is bought back and recycled at the end of its useful life. With the PlastiCorr reusable packaging solution, corrugated cardboard boxes can be replaced one-to-one in automated packaging lines. The service life is said to be around 70 times longer than that of disposable packaging.
