Matthias Holder, 46, has taken over overall responsibility for sales at Herma Etikettiermaschinen. The experienced packaging and mechanical engineering specialist previously worked at Bosch Packaging Technology and MAN Roland for many years.
From 2011 to 2015, Holder worked at Bosch Packaging Technology in the pharmaceutical sales division, most recently as group manager for secondary packaging lines and bag-in-box systems. Among other things, he was responsible for cartoning lines and track & trace systems, i.e. line solutions that are often equipped with Herma labellers. After studying industrial engineering, the trained printer started his career in mechanical engineering at printing machine manufacturer MAN Roland. From 2001 to 2006, he worked there in the consulting subsidiary Eurografica Systemplanungsgesellschaft as a management consultant specialising in the printing and packaging industry worldwide. In 2006, he moved to the MAN Roland headquarters to take on sales and product management tasks.
After working at Bosch Packaging Technology, he moved to Herma Etikettiermaschinen in 2015, where he initially headed up sales in Germany.
„Herma labellers enjoy an excellent reputation in the industry - and quite rightly so, as I can confirm from my own experience,“ says Holder. „I now see it as one of my most important tasks to utilise the existing excellent application knowledge in an even more targeted manner in order to exploit our technological lead in defined industries and markets and set standards. We also want to be a leader in making labellers fit for the outstanding future topic of Industry 4.0. interpack 2017 will already be an important milestone in this regard.“
For Martin Kühl, the head of Herma's labelling machines division, the newly created position of head of overall sales is of central importance for the Global expansion.
„Matthias Holder brings with him a wide range of qualifications that currently play a major role for us. These include, for example, in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, experience in the sale of complex packaging systems, as well as in-depth knowledge of process optimisation and product management. This combination is extremely valuable for us,“ says Cool.
