The Prodinger Group, headquartered in Coburg, Upper Franconia, has taken over the German food packaging manufacturer Lorentzen & Sievers as of 1 January 2024. Steffen Prodinger, CEO of the Prodinger Group, is the new Managing Director of Lorentzen & Sievers, which will retain its current location in Henstedt-Ulzburg near Hamburg.
Prodinger has taken on all Lorentzen & Sievers employees as part of the merger. Frank Schuh, the previous Managing Director, will remain active in his functions and tasks and will act alongside Steffen Prodinger in the management of the renamed Lorentzen & Sievers GmbH & Co. KG alongside Steffen Prodinger. All contacts on the part of L&S will remain the same, and all existing contracts and agreements will remain valid. The takeover and change of name will therefore result in No direct impact on customers, suppliers and partners.

Prodinger counts through the takeover Now over 550 employees for the first time - including 50 trainees alone. These employee numbers, which have been rising steadily for years, symbolise the growth of the Franconian medium-sized company, which now has a turnover of over 250 million euros.
