This packaging solution is characterised by Improved mechanical properties and can be individually defined proportion of recycled PE included. The FlexiBag Reinforced has been designed to be both cost-efficient and fully recyclable. These properties make it a sustainable alternative to conventional plastic packaging, the disposal of which is often problematic.
World first
Mondi also produces the world's first Mono-material vacuum packaging for coffee which was developed in collaboration with the Finnish coffee manufacturer Paulig. This packaging solution offers a fully recyclable alternative to conventional composite packaging, which often consists of several layers and is therefore difficult to recycle. The new vacuum packaging enables customers to package their products in an efficient and environmentally friendly way without compromising on product quality.
Another highlight of the Mondi stand will be the range of fibre-based packaging solutions made from FunctionalBarrier Paper. This packaging is suitable for a wide range of industrial and consumer goods markets and can be recycled in existing European paper waste streams. The FunctionalBarrier Paper offers a resource-saving alternative to conventional plastic packaging, as it minimises the material consumption and at the same time protect the products guaranteed.
Mondi will also be presenting a new variant of its brown kraft paper, Advantage Smooth Brown Semi Extensible. This paper impresses with its high puncture resistance and is ideal for heat-sealing applications suitable. It is primarily used for industrial and consumer goods packaging and offers companies a robust and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional packaging materials.
Special attention is paid to the EcoWicketBag, a paper-based packaging solution made from durable kraft paper, which has already won several awards. This packaging retains its stability during the filling process and reliably protects the contents during transport. At the same time, it is fully recyclable and has been specially developed to fulfil the requirements for sustainable packaging in the industry.
Promotion of the circular economy
At Fachpack, Mondi will also host CELAB Europe, an initiative dedicated to promoting the circularity of pressure-sensitive labels. CELAB Europe is committed to developing innovative recycling solutions for release liners and strengthening the circular economy in the packaging industry. By collaborating with various partners and developing new technologies, CELAB Europe aims to drive sustainability in the industry and create long-term change.
With these and other innovations, Mondi will be demonstrating at Fachpack 2024 how it can help companies achieve their sustainability goals without compromising the efficiency of their packaging processes.
