Danish premium brand Lakrids by Bülow and packaging innovator PulPac have announced a collaboration to produce the 2024 Large Advent Calendar, whose outer shell is made from sustainable dry moulded fibre. The packaging is a customised design that focuses on sustainability and high-quality aesthetics.
PulPac, a pioneer in the development of sustainable packaging solutions, and Lakrids by Bülow, known for its liquorice products, have equipped this year's Advent calendar with innovative dry moulded fibre packaging. This technology makes it possible to create customised, thermoformed designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. The project, which was launched in May 2024, shows how efficient and versatile PulPac's technology is.
The collaboration between the two companies was swift, from concept development to pre-order. PulPac managed the design and production process and ensured that the packaging met Lakrids by Bülow's high quality standards. The outer tray was produced on PulPac's Modula production line in Gothenburg.
PulPac's Dry Molded Fibre technology offers an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic and fibre-based packaging that is also suitable for premium packaging.
