On 1 January 2025, Dr Christine Bunte will take over the management of Plastics Europe Deutschland e. V., the association of plastics manufacturers, as the successor to Ingemar Bühler. At the same time, Dr Alexander Kronimus will be appointed Deputy Managing Director. He had led the association on an interim basis since May 2024.
Christine Bunte, who previously headed BASF's Corporate Advocacy Team in Ludwigshafen and was responsible for the company's circular economy and environmental policy, brings a new perspective to the company. Extensive experience in the fields of plastics, circular economy and public affairs at national and European level. With a doctorate in chemistry, her aim is to play a key role in shaping and driving forward the transformation of the plastics industry towards a climate-neutral circular economy, as envisaged in the Plastics Europe Transition Roadmap.
