After 25 years with the company, Ralf Sammeck, member of the Koenig & Bauer AG management board and CEO of the Sheetfed segment, will retire in June 2025. He will be succeeded by Markus Weiß, who will assume the role of managing director and CEO of Koenig & Bauer Sheetfed AG & Co. KG from 1 February 2025.
Ralf Sammeck began his career at Koenig & Bauer in 2000 and took up a position on the company's Executive Board in 2007. During his time in office, he was instrumental in driving forward the strategic development of the segment. This included expanding the product portfolio to include prepress software, postpress machines and digital printing solutions as well as the Expansion of digital services. Under his leadership, the market share of the Sheetfed segment increased significantly. Dr Andreas Pleßke, CEO of Koenig & Bauer, emphasised Sammeck's important role in the Strengthening market leadership in the packaging sector and its close customer focus.

Markus Weiß is an experienced successor with extensive knowledge of the printing industry and a strong international network. The change is part of a long-term succession plan to ensure a smooth transition and continuity in the strategic direction of the Paper & Packaging segment.
