Steriline will showcase at interpack 2026 how Artificial Intelligence and robotics can revolutionise the sterile filling of pharmaceuticals. The KFCM200 filling machine is at the centre of the presentation.

Sterile filling processes are subject to stringent regulatory requirements, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. Steriline is presenting its latest development at interpack 2026: the KFCM200 filling machine. This machine processes 3ml vials at a speed of up to 200 units per minute and meets the requirements of the latest EU GMP guidelines. The plant consists of a feeding system, a container transport system, a rubber stopper insertion station, a liquid filling station, a capping station, and safety guards. A buffer tank made of AISI 316L steel ensures continuous product supply.

Integration of AI and Robotics

Steriline is focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into robotics to monitor Fill & Finish operations in real-time. This enables precise detection and reporting of anomalies. The smart automation of the facility improves the control and optimisation of the entire process, increasing both productivity and efficiency.

Future-proof solutions

The solutions developed by ISS, a spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Milan, offer advanced systems for process monitoring and control. These solutions enable continuous and intelligent control of critical work steps, thereby enhancing the quality, safety, and repeatability of processes. Alessandro Caprioli, Business Development Director Robotics Division at Steriline, emphasises the company's digital transformation. The aim is to extend AI-based processing techniques to the entire process and convert data captured by sensors into process knowledge. This is intended to lead to even more sterile, intelligent, and increasingly autonomous production solutions.
