Videojet Technologies is bringing an innovation to the fibre laser market: the new Videojet 7340 and 7440 fibre laser marking systems are equipped with Lightfoot, the world's smallest laser marking head.

The Fibre optic laser marking head Lightfoot is both the smallest laser marking head in the industry in terms of size and weight and was specifically designed for strict IP69K requirements developed so that it without additional protective equipment suitable for use in environments with washdowns and other harsh conditions.

The compact Lightfoot marking head weighs less than one kilogram and measures 205 mm. In terms of size, it is comparable to a Videojet continuous inkjet printhead similar and therefore requires fewer mounting brackets than a conventional laser marking head. This allows for quick setup and repositioning and expands the bandwidth of installation options.

„Due to the groundbreaking technology of our new Lightfoot marking head, we anticipate a wider range of installation possibilities.“ Sascha Ammesdörfer, Laser Business Unit Manager at Videojet Technologies.

The Fibre lasers 7340 (20 Watts) and 7440 (30 Watts) were developed to improve user-friendliness and ensure seamless integrations through new technologies. The Compact design meets the requirements of manufacturers who depend on tight space work. The two models are based on the same technology as previous Videojet fibre laser solutions with marking speeds of up to 2,000 characters per second on very dense packing material.

Furthermore, the 7340 and 7440 fibre lasers feature an iintegrated pilot laser focus finder, which allows for simpler, faster, and more precise focusing during the installation process or during frequent line or product changes.
