At Fachpack, J+P Maschinenbau GmbH will be exhibiting a compact wrap-around case packer for the final packaging of thermoformed packs with cold cuts. In combination with a Pick&Place Top-Loader for filling E2 plastic crates, this will soon be installed at Wiesbauer in Vienna.
The trade fair exhibit packaged 90 thermoformed packs and 12 wrap-around cartons per minute. For other applications, up to 200 thermoformed packs and 25 wrap-around cartons are packed. Wiesbauer chose J+P as its partner because the system is manufactured in stainless steel, as required in the meat industry, enables quick and tool-free format changeovers and offers a high degree of format flexibility.
The first contact between the two companies was made back in 2016 - at Fachpack. However, it still took a few years and various approaches to realise a joint project. This shows, how important trade fair presence is, says the machine manufacturer, a second-generation family-run company based in Dresden that develops customised packaging solutions.
